Dr Tinus van Wyngaardt has a special interest in anti-aging medicine, aesthetic medicine and cosmetic dermatology. He trained as Medical Practitioner locally and then completed several international qualifications. He completed the Advanced Management Programme from Yale University and then furthered his management knowledge by completing his MBA locally. Dr Van Wyngaardt completed an Advanced Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine and a Post Graduate Diploma in Dermatology and obtained Professional Certification in Dermatology (Australia). Further he completed certification courses in Mole mapping, Dermatoscopy, Skin Cancer diagnosis and treatment. He also obtained his Doctorate in Medicine (MD), focusing on anti-aging medicine. His methods have a holistic approach and aim to prevent the negative effects of ageing and improve the overall appearance and wellbeing. He is a recognised opinion leader and has also been featured in local and national publications. Dr Van Wyngaardt regularly attends international cosmetic congresses to ensure that he always offers patients the best available solution for their desired appearance.
Dr. Linda van Deventer
Dermatologist with a special interest in Skin Cancer and rare skin disorders
Dr Linda van Deventer trained as Medical Practitioner at Stellenbosch University and then completed her Masters degree in Critical Medicine at the University of the Free State. She then completed her specialist training in Dermatology (Stellenbosch) and successfully passed all requirements to qualify as a Fellow of the College of Dermatologists (South Africa). She also obtained her Masters degree in Dermatology. Se has a special interest in general dermatology, skin cancers, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr Van Deventer attended a Certificate course in Cosmetic Dermatology (Stellenbosch University) and regularly attends dermatology and cosmetic congresses to ensure that she always offer patients the best solution for their skin concerns.

Do your research - it is better to know than to assume
When you decide on a procedure/treatment and a doctor, It is more important to select a practitioner that you feel comfortable with and discuss your budget with him/her and plan the best results within you budget. Look for a doctor with Post Graduate FORMAL training in Aesthetic medicine / cosmetic dermatology - eg Advanced Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine or Post Graduate Certificate in Cosmetic Dermatology (currently the only two formal qualifications in South Africa for Aesthetic Medicine), etc. Some practitioners complete 1-2 day informal training and then compete with price per unit, etc to enter the market and get enough patients to gain experience - never base you decision to have a procedure only on price, first look at the qualifications and practitioner - an experienced doctor can often give you better results with less products (just as more or less paint are not the only factors affecting a painting, but rather the skill of the artist!)
